Eban House Outreach
For Joy's birthday, we came to visit her at Eban House, and donate practical supplies including sandals and toothpaste for the children.
Larry was able to teach the children from the Bible. He shared about the Father in Heaven who loves them, and will never leave them.
Larry also taught them about Jesus' house name, Yeshua (Hebrew for "Yahweh who is Salvation"). The children quickly understood as Ghanaians have a "house name" used by their family and neighbors in their language, and use a separate English name for legal purposes. |
The day ended as Beki got to hand out gift bags to the 30 children at Eban House, and left items for the staff to share. It was a great day, giving to the special people now caring for Joy.

Travels
Soon after saying goodbye to Joy, we said goodbye to our friends and home in Ghana.
Coming home on furlough, we have had an exciting summer visiting with our families and readjusting to the US.
Living near the equator for over two years without air conditioning had certainly changed us. Compared to Ghana, Virginia is cold even in summer. We still sleep in winter pajamas under a quilt and blankets - in August!
