African Expansion
The McConnell Family is happy to announce they are
working to return to Africa! Their next
international destination is Uganda,
East Africa. God of Wonder
Ministries will be partnering
with Acts for Messiah who
has been established in Uganda for the
past decade.
The McConnell family will be assisting
with the orphanage, the
Biblical Discipleship program, and
the compassion ministries
currently operating in Torroro,
Uganda. the orphanage currently has
16 children in their home, and several
more in trade schools and University.
Larry, Beki, Josiah and Gracie are currently living and
traveling around the Northwestern United
States, building partnerships for the
work in Uganda. Larry continues to
persevere in his studies with the
Messianic Bible Institute, and Beki is
looking forward to having her own nest
in Africa once again. Josiah and Gracie
are happy now that they have completed
Kindergarten and are looking forward to
First Grade! |

Last year the McConnell family were privileged to help
rescue Baby Joy who was an abandoned
HIV+ baby that all the doctors expected
to die. Thanks to our merciful God, Joy
is now a happy and healthy 2 year old!
A wonderful Christian family from North
Carolina is in the process of adopting
Joy, and GWMI would like to help bring
Joy home. Approximately $20,000 is
needed to complete her adoption, and
cover all the travel expenses. So far,
$650 has been raised by GWMI supporters
towards her adoption. Please consider

Joy's adoption today.

Expanding the
Influence of Truth |

Uganda is located in East Africa,
surrounded by Kenya, the Sudan,
Congo, Rwanda & Tanzania,
-
Uganda is most famous for the
infamous dictator Idi Amin
who terrorized Ugandans and killed
between 100,000 - 300,000 Ugandans
during the 1970s,
-
More recently, in Northern Uganda
the "Lord's Resistance Army" became known for kidnapping
children to be used as child
soldiers
in their rebellion against the
Ugandan government,
-
Over half of their population is
under the age of 15 years old,
and only 2% of the population ever
reaches 65 years old,
-
There is great potential in this new
generation. An estimated
two million of them are orphaned,
uneducated, and hopeless.

In Closing
There is much work to be done in this country recovering
from war, disease and oppressive governments.
With God's help - we can all help make a

of serving our Father in Ghana.
